April 17 Update Overview for Vket Cloud

Thank you for always supporting Vket Cloud!
On April 17, an update for Vket Cloud with new features, bug fixes, and UI improvements has rolled out… and here's the wrapup!
As like the previous release,  an important notice regarding worlds created with earlier SDK versions will be mentioned later on.

🔷Main updates

🔶New features

🔸【All license plans】 Added 4 new selectable website templates

The website created by the creator can now change its theme by selecting a website template through the "Manage Website" page.
This can be done by clicking on "Select a website template", and choose a website design from 5 templates.

🔸【Basic Plan and higher】 Added External API connection
A new feature for External API connection in Vket Cloud worlds has been added.
The external API can be added by accessing the "External API list" through the My Page.

For instructions on how to use external API and the "broker API", see the manual below:

https://vrhikky.github.io/VketCloudSDK_Documents/12.3/en/ExternalAPI/BrokerAPI.html

Also, the broker API uses a HeliScript feature called "JsVal" for API connection. See its specification below:

🔷Important Notice for Worlds Created by Previous SDK Versions

※Important※
Support Deprecation for VketCloudSDK versions earlier than Ver 5.4
As worlds created by older SDK versions have a risk of major render and login issues on recent OS and browser environments (especially on smartphones), we have decided with the utmost hesitation to establish a support end date for deprecated SDK versions.

The support for deprecated versions are planned to be ended on June 2024.

After the support end date, all worlds created and published by the deprecated versions will be subject for unpublishment and data deletion. To retain the published status, we would like to ask you to update your VketCloudSDK project to modern versions (Ver12.3.0 or Ver9.11.1), and reupload the world data.

For instructions on how to update the SDK project, please refer to the SDK manual below. We strongly recommend you to backup data before migrating the project, and use the SDK Version Manager for the migration process.

For troubleshooting, please see the page below:

If there are concerns/questions about this deprecation or related subjects, please feel free to contact us by using the contact form.

Also, to request a chat support on any migration process, please join the Vket Cloud community Discord server and post a new inquiry through the ”#inquiry-ticket” channel.

That's all for updates on Vket Cloud!
Vket Cloud and VketCloudSDK will continue to be updated at an accelerated pace for the benefit of creators and community.
